Virtual Aviation Traffic Simulation (VATSIM) is a world wide organisation of aviation enthusiasts who take their hobby to the highest level of realism. How?
We have two sections to the Aviation Academy to fully train you as a competent Air Traffic Controller or a fully licence Air Transport Pilot
Air Traffic Control School, which is a part of the VATSAF Aviation Academy will equip you with all the necessary skills, taken from Real World ATC Courses conducted at the ATNS ATC College in Johannesburg.
This means we can then supply the most awesome and realistic level of ATC available in South Africa!
Its a steep learning curve, just never ever ever give up!

Flying Academy
At the flying academy we aim to take you to Instructors level by giving the best online flying training available in South Africa.
All the courses are presented in our Virtual Classrooms and the practical flying is done on the standard Flight Simulators including the brand new FSX

If you want to earn your National Colours for virtual flying you will have to register with the relevant organisations and pay a yearly membership fee. But that is not a requirement to fly online.
